Sponsor of the Month
As most, if not all of you know, our Flight benefiting
the local Heroes of the South Plains is entirely funded by
donations from individuals and businesses in our local
community. This year we want to highlight those businesses
that have gone above and beyond in making this Flight a
reality.
We could not think of a better business to kick off
this highlighting event than our sponsor of over 10 YEARS,
Jerry's Barbershop! Not one to take the credit, Jerry's
Barbershop donates over $6000 annually due entirely to the
Honor Flight donation box and the "customers of Jerry's
Barber Shop adding up to over $62,983.00 since 2014!
The donation box is tended by Maurice Stanly, an Army
Veteran, a veteran barber, and an Honor Flight Guardian
for many a deserving veteran on our Flights. Maurice is a
staunch supporter of the Honor Flight and is never shy to
show his support or send a deserving veteran our way to
sign up for the Flight. We would not be where we are today
without the support of Maurice, Jerry's Barbershop, and
the Customers of Jerry's Barbershop, and we want to say
THANK YOU for all that you have done and continue to do
for us!
For those who have not had the chance to visit Jerry's,
the atmosphere is one of community and patriotism with the
occasional political banter, of which everyone is welcome.
As a THANK YOU to the customers of Jerry's Barbershop and
to ensure the continuation of a one of a kind barbershop
here in Lubbock, we at the Honor Flight ask that you stop
by this month and show your support and give them a shot
