Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Elizabeth Stephenson, 73, were held Sunday in the McAdoo Church of Christ. E. Joe Lee, Lubbock, officiated; he was assisted by Rev. R. H. Knight, pastor of the McAdoo Methodist Church.

Mrs. Stephenson who first moved to Dickens County into the Red Mud community in 1914, died in West Texas Hospital in Lubbock following an illness of about 11 months. She had resided in the McAdoo community since 1918.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Monty J. McCoy, Lubbock; Mrs. Carmie Fendley, Port Lavaca; Mrs. Kermit Stanley, Paducah and Mrs. Barney Watts, Lubbock; four sons; Nathan Stephenson, McAdoo; S. J. Stephenson, Ontario, Calif; W. J. Stephenson, Swenson; Charlie Stephenson, Lubbock and Roland Waldrop, Abilene; one brother, Jim Garrett, Floydada and two sisters, MRs. Jake Murphee, Las Vegas, N.M. and Mrs. Forrest Martin, Spur.

Pallbearers were E. H. Tooke, Lilburn Harvey, O. T. Boucher, Lewis Hickman, John Woolley and Oris Pullin.

Interment was in McAdoo cemetery.
