William Franklin “Bill” Rich, age 79, of Odessa, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2012, at his residence. He was born in Dickens County, Texas on November 4, 1932 to the late Joseph Benjamin Rich and Lydia Mae (Bradford) Rich. He was an oilfield superintendent for V & B Drilling for 44 years.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son: Glenn Franklin Rich and wife Mary Ann of Seguin; four daughters: Debbie Dunagin and husband Buddy, Kay Carroll and husband Curtis, Kim Bailey and husband Roy Don Bohannon and Gail Mauck and husband Floyd, all of Odessa; two sisters: Bernie Tull and Laverne Cox, both of Odessa; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his son: Larry Douglas Rich; two brothers: Bill and Joe Rich; sister: Jewell Stephenson; and three nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, June 13, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Graveside services will be at Los Angeles Garden of Ector County Cemetery at 9:00 AM Thursday, June 14, 2012, Pastor Mark McDonald officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.
