This may come as a surprise but my dad ( Jenk) is the funniest person I know. The trick is, you just have to sit back and really pay attention because more often than not, his sense of humor (aka natural state) is lost in boisterous surroundings. The truth is he makes me laugh the hardest. Pair this high hilarity with a deep rooted care to help those around him, and his one-of-a-kind Texan character simply stands out.
Interested in how old floppy disks are? Knowing what Grand Panda is? The extent of Jenk’s relationships to famous people? How many pecans can fit in a pecan pie? Fun facts about past Presidents? Who crosses the US border from Mexico? (Yes there are online cameras monitoring this) These answers merge to a single source- someone who’s curiosity and passion about family, history, politics and Chinese food can call checkmate against anyone who thinks they’ve mastered geneology.com, running their electric meter backwards or ordering the perfect Chinese chicken salad.
Always finding the good and reasonable road amidst chaos, my dad is never short on saying “get glad” and pushing his family to constantly see that the medium will always balance out the high’s and low’s. Above all else he loves learning and will not let old western films go to the wayside.
