This is Jenk Stephenson's Uncle Joe. Uncle Joe was not given a middle name. It does not appear on his birth certificate, but sometimes he was referred to Joe L. My mother, his sister, and another sister, Aunt Bernie, never knew where the L. came from or what it stands for. In my research I've never found a name for the L. It remains a mystery.
