Lucille Stanley
Services for Lucille Stanley, 83, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, at Lubbockview Christian Church with Rev. Bill Hendricks officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home of Lubbock. Lucille passed away Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, at Covenant Medical Center.
Lucille was born April 26, 1920, in McAdoo, Texas. She married Kermit Stanley on Oct. 31, 1940, in Dickens. She was a member of the Christian Womans Fellowship, and Group I at Lubbockview Christian Church.
She had a strong Christian faith and was a loving, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Maurice Stanley and wife Mandy, and Ray Stanley and wife Ava, all of Lubbock; a daughter, Lynette Smith and husband Freddy of Lubbock; a sister, Robena Watts of Lubbock; a brother, Roland Waldrop of Arkansas; five grandchildren, Mark, Lori and Christi Smith, and Jared and Jill Stanley; two stepgrandchildren, Conan and Cody Spears; and four great-grandsons, Evan and Ryan Smith, Hunter and Reece Spears, and one great-granddaughter, Ryan Spears.
