Grace Towner was the principal of an American Missionary school in Adana, Turkey. When the Armenian genecide started in 1915 in Turkey Miss Towner invited Helen Koolaksezian at the age of 14 to come to school there, thusly, saving her life. Her parents were murdered by the Turks.
